WILL YOU HELP THE HUB FLOURISH?
The Forest Estate Community Hub, is run by The Journey Church in Englefield Green. It is based in an old British Legion Building at the heart of the Forest Estate. Over the past 10 years The Journey together with the local community, local councils, agencies and businesses has worked hard to refurbish the building and put on services and activities that benefit local residents. It now engages with all age groups and has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
The Hub began with no money but through Hall Hire and the generosity of individuals, local businesses and grant making bodies it has managed to significantly improve the building, employ a Manager for 3 days a week and run a vast and varied program of activities and services.
In order to ensure the ongoing success of this project, we are looking to build a base of financial supporters who will set up a regular standing order to help cover our costs. Every donation given will make a difference.
If 100 people gave £10 per month it would enable us to bridge the gap between our income and our running costs.
In the foyer of the Hub stands our ‘Flourish’ tree. Every leaf placed on the tree represents the name of someone who has given a monthly donation of £10 or more to help bring us closer to our goal of sustainability.
